2025 INDYCAR Championship odds: Kyle Kirkwood surges after St. Louis

The first eight races of the 2025 INDYCAR season are in the books, and championship odds are on the move.

Will Alex Palou win it all again? Well, according to the odds, he’s sitting firmly in the driver’s seat.

He’s won five of the first eight races, including the 109th Running of the Indianapolis 500. However, his odds over the past couple of weeks have lengthened slightly, moving to 2/11 (bet $10 to win $11.82 total) from 1/10 (bet $10 to win $11 total).

While Palou is favored, there are at least a couple of other drivers that bettors should watch.

Kyle Kirkwood — the only other driver with wins on his 2025 INDYCAR resume — surged up the board to 12/1 (bet $10 to win $130 total) from 18/1 (bet $10 to win $190 total) after his win at Long Beach. Then, after winning at St. Louis, his odds shortened to 11/2 (bet $10 to win $65 total) from 9/1 (bet $10 to win $100 total).

Pato O’Ward has also moved up the board, shifting slightly to 9/2 (bet $10 to win $55 total) from 8/1 (bet $10 to win $90 total) over the last month. He’s second in the standings with three podium finishes on the year.
