A French court will on Wednesday give a verdict in the trial of retired surgeon Joel Le Scouarnec who admitted to raping and sexually assaulting hundreds of patients, many of them children, often while they were under anaesthesia or waking up after operations. Prosecutors have demanded the maximun 20-year sentence for Le Scouarnec.
