Angel Reese has downplayed the hard foul committed by Caitlin Clark during their WNBA season opener. Reese confronted Clark following the foul midway through the third quarter of the Indiana Fever’s 93-58 win over the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
With 4:38 left in the third period, Reese got the offensive rebound and was about to go up for a shot at the rim when Clark slapped the Sky star to knock the ball. Reese hit the deck and immediately went up to confront the Fever star.
When asked about the incident in the postgame media conference, Reese brushed it off.
“Basketball play, refs got it right, move on,” Reese said.
This is a developing story.
