How is the 2025 MLB All-Star Game Roster Picked?

MLB opens online voting between players and fans right before the mid-season point. Then, phase 2 of the voting determines who starts for each league in the game. The AL and NL All-Star starters are announced a few days before the game takes place. Some years we see this earlier than others. The top vote getters should be announced on July 2nd, 2025 on ESPN. If any players voted to the game can’t play, the manager for the respective league is able to make his own selection to fill the spot. The game no longer determines which league gets home field advantage in the World Series.
